For most people, the transition between middle school and high school is about coming of age, starting to find out who you are and growing into independence. But for Elkhorn North freshman Britt Prince, it was about the future.
Prince, a standout point guard at the new Elkhorn North High School and the Elite AAU program, received her first Division I offer from Creighton coach Jim Flanery just a month after leaving the eighth grade. She’s extremely athletic, as she ran cross country last fall and plans to run track this spring as well.
Seven months after receiving that first offer, Prince has led Elkhorn North to a 12-0 start, and the Wolves sit at the top of Class B in Wild Card points. It’s safe to say a lot more attention is on the way for the 5’10” freshman from Elkhorn.
